Biography
In 1979, John started his musical journey by learning to play the piano. Through the following 10 years he also learned how to play saxophone, drums and guitar.
In 1991, John started his professional audio career by making digital recordings of live performances at the Ohio State University School of Music concert halls.
In 1992, John entered the illustrious Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. That year he was selected to fill a position as Assistant Studio Supervisor at the College's 10-studio recording facility where he guided fellow students through their studio experiences. In 1994 he was selected by the Music Production and Engineering Faculty to receive a Creativity Scholarship "awarded to the student who demonstrates the most creative and imaginative work in Music Production and Engineering." Later that year he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Music Production and Engineering and moved to Nashville where he worked as a freelance Audio Engineer on numerous projects.
Wanting to learn more of the technicalities involved in the equipment he was using to make and record music, John attended the College of Engineering at Wright State University in 1997 to pursue a BA in Electrical Engineering. He acquired that degree in 2000 and took on a job as a Sound Engineer for Rodgers Instruments in Hillsboro, Oregon. This position combined Sound Design and Product Development, giving John a perfect segue into creating audio content for video games. Now, John provides music, sound effects and dialog for video games and many other types of multimedia projects
